WOMEN SHOULD HAVE MORE SLOTS IN LEADERSHIP OF POLITICAL PARTIES-----HAJIA JUMOKE SANNI

An Elder state woman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Kwara Hajia Bilkisu  Jumoke Sanni has advised political parties to look into the possibilities of making more slots available for women in leadership structures of all the political parties in the country. She stated that Nigerian women are advanced beyond the position of "woman leader" which is presently available for a woman to head the coordination of women in political parties. In her words "women coordinator should not be the only reservation for women, political parties should create opportunities for women to hold challenging positions such as secretaries, vice chairman and other positions that can make better push for women in political activities" She maintained that the present discountenance of woman does not create enabling environment for unity and progress. Hajia Sanni who also  cautioned politicians against "do or die" electionary activities urged them to be good lozers or winners who will work towards elections devoid of trouble and violence especially in the upcoming 2023 general elections. She further advised Nigerians to learn to be gender sensitive, stand with their conscience, have good understand of contestants and avoid selling their votes in elections.
