BUHARI APPOINTS FIRST FEMALE ACCOUNTANT GENERAL OF THE FEDERATION
President, Muhammad Buhari, has approved the appointment of Dr. Mrs Oluwatoyin Sakirat Madein as the substantive Accountant-General of the Federation (AGF) 

The appointment which is with immediate effect was announced today by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HoCSF), Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, through her director of communication, Mohammed Abdullahi Ahmed.

Dr (Mrs) Madein was born on March 7, 1965 in Ogun state, she has doctorate degree in Management Finance from Walden University, Minnesota, United States. She was the Director of finance and accounts in the office of HoCSF.

Her appointment came after a successful conduct of a selection process which followed the removal and prosecution of former AGF, Ahmed Idris in 2022, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged misappropriation of funds.
