In furtherance of its commitment to the Tinubu/Shettima presidential campaign, Movement for Good Governance and Ethical Leadership (MGGEL) held its inauguration ceremony today in Abuja.
With the theme "sustaining good governance through ethical leadership", crop of high rank members of All Progressives Congress (APC) were inaugurated and decorated with campaign ornaments as grand patrons of the organisation.
The grand patrons are Senator Tolu Odebiyi who doubled as the keynote speaker at the occasion, the minister of special duties and inter governmental affairs, Senator George Akume, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, Honourable Otunba Timehin Adelegbe, Pastor Jide Ipinsagba, Barr. Yusuf Hamisu and Engr. Jide Ojo.
The Director General and Convener of MGGEL said that the organisation has proved its worth in electionary issues since 2006 when it has been in existence.
He described it as a time tested organisation that has all it takes in all areas of election saying that the involvement of the grand patrons will make it more valuable.
Delivering the keynote address, Senator Odebiyi said that good governance and ethical leadership involves having people in management and leadership positions who will promote and be good examples in their actions and relationships in honesty, justice, respect and integrity.
He emphasised that equitable spread of development is an achievement when the grassroot as critical segment of the society receive immediate attention in terms of distribution of infrastructure.
He advised that people should brace up in their quest for good governance by showing more concern and involvement in the electoral process.
He said that Tinubu/Shettima the presidential and vice presidential candidates of the APC by their track records in their states as former governors have the right qualities and abilities to confront the myriads of problem facing the country.
